Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” (NIV)

So, I don't always know best? The people closest to me whose opinions I value most highly don't always know best? :) This verse hits home as a reminder that should be in the constant process of assessing our thoughts, ideas, and feelings to make sure they are in line with God's. Or, when we don't know what to do, feel, etc. to take that insecurity straight to Him. So much panic, sadness, and hopelessness could be avoided if we just took our concerns and problems to God before we try to figure them out ourselves! Our understanding and knowledge is so very weak. God knows the "big picture" and the purpose and plan that He has for us. What a comfort it is to know that we don't have to rely on our understanding!

It's a beautiful, warm day here in Ohio. Dominic and I hit this mall this morning sans stroller. I think that was the first time I have dared to do that, but I figure with the baby coming soon, Dominic's going to have to get used to walking anyway! :) He was SO funny today. Usually he is shy and bashful around strangers, but not today! When we went in the maternity store the clerk said hi to him and that just started the flood! Haha. When we were going to leave he told me couldn't because he was "talking to Jennifer." When I asked the girl if that was really her name she said no! For the rest of the day, he called every woman/girl "Jennifer." Funny. At JCPenney he went right up to the lady beside me picking out sheets and started chatting up a storm. When she went over to the next aisle, he followed her and said, "I found you!" This was all very weird coming from my little boy! Such a character. :)
