Home again!

Well, we are back home! Unfortunately, Ian had to head back to work after picking us up at the airport, so Dominic and I are just hanging out waiting for him to come back and not getting a whole lot accomplished otherwise. :-) Dominic's getting reunited with all of his trucks, so he's basically happy as a clam! I'm coming down from my caffeine high and basically feeling exhausted. We had a great time with my parents, as usual, and as much as I would like to think that we will be able to go back to NC before the baby comes, I don't know how realistic that is!

We have a busy next week ahead! Monday I have my OB check-up and glucose tolerance testing (yuck). Tuesday Ian and I are to meet with a birth doula to find out what she is all about and if we would like to use her at our baby's birth. A doula is someone I didn't really know anything about when I was pregnant with Dominic and just recently started researching with this pregnancy. I am very interested in the prospect but - ouch! - are they expensive. The one that we are interviewing on Tuesday is the least expensive in the Columbus area that I have come across yet, so I figured she'd be a good starting point.

I am officially not watching Leah anymore during the afternoons, so I think the time has come for me to go back to work at Curves. I took a hiatus in January when morning sickness hit me full-on with the intention to go back sooner than this, but... here I am... Not only do I need to start working there again, I need to start working out again and better preparing my body for this birth and for getting back to "normal" after Baby is born!

In other exciting news, my darling husband has provided me with my first watermelon of the season! This is big news! I have a divine affinity toward watermelon when I am NOT pregnant and my love for it has become an obsession since I became pregnant! It's just WRONG that watermelon is a "summer only" item, but I have endured until now and my first bite of that lovely, juicy melon this afternoon was heaven!!! That is all. :-)

(I love watermelon.)
